Devon Dickson, practically born with a camera in hand, hails from Hollywood royalty. His grandfather was Warner Brothers’ Head Costumer during Hollywood’s golden age, and his father handled special effects for classics like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Close Encounters, and Blade Runner. Devon picked up the family torch, moving to London to graduate from the Royal College of Art. Since 2000, he’s been traveling the globe, filming lifestyle ads in 30 countries and 14 languages, embodying the motto “Think globally, act locally.”
Devon’s specialty? Babies and kids. Known as the “Baby Whisperer Extraordinaire,” he’s mastered the art of turning tender moments into profound stories. His standout project, the Pampers “Journey of Firsts” Super Bowl commercial, captured the universal joys of parenthood, moving millions and being translated into eight languages.
In the world of impossible scripts, Devon thrives. Babies doing Kung Fu? Check. Talking babies with CGI creatures? No problem. “What could be more magical than working with unpredictable, drooling little creatures?” he jokes, likely dodging a sippy cup.
As a father of four, his youngest just four years old, Devon has a live-action “research lab” for understanding the ups and downs of parenting. “Parenthood keeps me grounded, constantly reminding me of the emotional rollercoaster all parents are on—I love bringing that truth to my work.”
