Born in Paris in 1970, Steven ADA showed an early affinity for music and design - two loves that would shape his career from an early age. After playing in pop bands and attending school for Communication and Advertising, Steven teamed up with his childhood friend Eric Poulet to form the directing duo "les sp6men" (1999). In the following years, The Specimen went on to become some of the most important music video directors in France, and to launch a successful start in Commercials (PMU, Volvic, Cote d’Or, BNP Paribas, Carte Noire, ...). In 2008 Steven ADA left to focus on a solo career. With his clean, contemporary, and high energy style, Steven quickly found success directing spots for Renault, 7UP, Gillette, Orange and other Telecom companies for different countries. Versatile, he is able to adapt on different categories of visual projects, always with a research of aestheticism in a natural and emotional visual approach. Whether tackling a visual storytelling assignment, cars, beauty, or action, Steven shows a light touch and a sensitivity to performance rare amongst directors with heavy post-production backgrounds. His film has a naturalness and elegance which makes him suited to a wide variety of creative briefs, from high design to natural lifestyle.
