Pierre Barougier has worked as Director and Director of Photography for over twenty years, he graduated from the Louis Lumiere Cinema School in 1992 and quickly worked on a number of features for high profile directors such as Roman Polanski’s 'Death and the Maiden', Woody Allen’s 'Everyone says I love you', Lawrence Kasdan’s' French Kiss' and Bertrand Blier’s 'Les acteurs '.
Since 1999, he worked extensively as Director of Photography alongside the famous photographer and food director Daniel Fauchon honing his skills in food advertising both as Director and and DoP on numerous TV commercials for high profile brands such as Heineken, KFC, Nestle, Activia, Yoplait and McDonalds to mention just a few.
In 2011 Pierre bought his own Phantom Flex camera and launched Sancy Studios in France. As well as having his own specialised lighting, camera, motion control, food stylists SFX and post equipment in the Auvergne studio, he also works alongside a regular small multidisciplinary team who are all specialized in shooting table-top, slow motion and macro food shots for advertising. Sancy studios is also a mobile concept with its own shoot truck and equipment on board allowing more flexibility across Europe for appropriate projects.
Pierre is a highly flexible and collaborative Director with many international awards to his name, he’s happy to work as both Director/DoP and as DoP alongside other directors in all European countries and has nearly one hundred commercials to his credit.
