Ivo was born and raised in Switzerland. Already as a kid he wrote short stories and drew comic books. He kept on writing when he grew older and additionally developed his love for pictures and sound. He started photographing, filming and making music. Ivo has also gained depth experience in post production, by working as a digital artist.

Nowadays Ivo is directing commercials worldwide. He is well known for his authentic, sensuous, poetic, atmospheric style. The sensuality in his work feels and is reel, as he takes his talents absolutely seriously. He helps them develop and express their inner sensuality, which shows in the final results. Or as Lucy Liu phrased it: “Every woman would love to be pictured the way Ivo does it.”

Besides directing TV commercials, Ivo Weejgaard is currently preparing his first feature film. He moves between Europe and Asia. Based in Zurich and Bangkok.
He speaks English, French and German.
